We built RitualMoney on one principle: only take what's necessary. This policy explains exactly what that means in practice.
RitualMoney ("we", "our", "the app") is a financial resilience calculator for Indian households. It helps you understand how many months your household can survive financially if income stops.
The financial numbers you enter in the app stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not sell, share, or profit from your personal data. If we introduce features that require any data collection in the future, we will tell you clearly what we are collecting, why, and give you the choice to opt in — before anything changes.
This Privacy Policy applies to the RitualMoney Android application available on the Google Play Store. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
We do not collect, request, access, or process any of the following:
RitualMoney stores the following data locally on your device using Android's standard local storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device.

Deleting the app from your device permanently deletes all of the above. There is no cloud backup. There is no account to delete. Uninstall = complete data removal.
RitualMoney requests only the following Android permissions. We do not request any permissions beyond this list.

RitualMoney may send you two types of local notifications:
Both notifications are entirely local. They do not involve our servers, do not transmit any data, and do not track whether you open them. You can disable all notifications from your device Settings → Apps → RitualMoney → Notifications at any time.
RitualMoney does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection SDKs. We do not use:
The app is built with React Native and Expo. Expo's standard libraries are used for local storage, local notifications, and haptics — none of which transmit data to external servers.
RitualMoney is designed for adults managing household finances. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to any server, the security of your data depends on your device security (screen lock, device encryption). We recommend:
If your device is lost or stolen, your RitualMoney data is protected by your device's existing security. If you perform a factory reset or uninstall the app, all RitualMoney data is permanently deleted.
Since we hold no data about you on any server, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, portability, erasure) apply to data on your own device, which you control directly.
To delete all RitualMoney data:
Currently, there is no account. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all your data. If we introduce optional accounts in future, we will provide a clear in-app account deletion flow and notify you before that change.
If we change this Privacy Policy in any material way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you through the app. If we introduce new features that require data collection — such as optional account sync or AI-powered plans — we will update this policy and notify users clearly before the change takes effect.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with any changes, you may stop using the app and uninstall it.
In accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, RitualMoney declares the following:
